Notes"Over the past several decades the distribution of Umpqua chub has contracted such that there are now six fragmented populations. Because there is little information on the biology of Umpqua chub and concern has been raised about their ability to persist in the presence of smallmouth bass, we began a collaborative effort to better understand their demographics and genetics." In 2008, the authros took 25 specimens from each of the sic isolated populations for genetic analysis, and repeated the procedure in 2010 "for potential future analysis." (p.2) "USFWS Grant # E-2-54"
