NotesIn 1992, the Federal government listed the marbled murrelet under the Endangered Species Act as having a threatened status. Oregon recognized the species as threatened in 1995, and in July, 2021, Oregon reclassified the marbled murrelet as endangered under the Oregon Endangered Species Act. This document sets out the plan under which Oregon will act to conserve and restore the marbled murrelet. The State will do this primarily through management of state lands to develop and preserve habitat for nesting birds.
