Notes | This book chapter is concerned with the effects of natural resource manager’s efforts to restore a fishery and address deteriorating ecological conditions in Diamond Lake. The invasive Tui chub had decimated the trout fishery. Managers took radical steps to kill the Tui chub, and had to close the lake. The study described here examines how recreational experiences were affected while the environment was in decline, during the closure and afterwards. Recreational displacement and management implications are discussed. |
