Notes | Brief news article summarizing the 1969 summer salmon season. “Winchester Bay produced the highest catch of any port along the coast with more than 63,400 salmon landed by just over 50,500 anglers. The sport catch at both Depoe and Yaquina Bays compared favorably with the past season catch. At Depoe Bay 38,400 anglers boated just about 28,200 salmon and about 56,200 anglers worked the offshore waters at Yaquina Bay taking 30,700 salmon.” |
