NotesThis thesis is an attempt to define the landward extent of the areas of "abrupt coastal subsidence and uplift" on the southern Oregon coast (p.172). Marsh cores were studied in Siuslaw Bay, the lower Umpqua River area, and Coos Bay. Diatom assemblages indicated whether sediments were marine or brackish. Includes original photograph of marsh core sample. Maps.
