NotesThis dissertation describes analysis of 83 sites in the Rogue and Umpqua river basins, 40 of which are in the Umpqua River Basin. The study describes two different approaches by Native peoples to their environment: mobile hunter-gatherering and a more sedentary collector approach. The author explores the timeline and possible reasons for this difference. Extensive site descriptions and artifact analysis.
