Notes | Many coastal areas received 3-5 inches of rain in a 24 hour period during the storms of December 26-29, 1945. "Combination of a high tide and flooding waters of the Umpqua River sent water swirling into most homes and business places of Reedsport on the coast. With logs and lumber drifting about the city in water one to two feet deep, all people were removed from places regarded as dangerous." |
