NotesShad started running May 6, "in good quantity" in the Umpqua and Smith Rivers, with small runs in the Siuslaw, Coquille and Coos rivers around that time. Coos Bay catches around 40-150 lbs by mid-May. Roe shad brought "about 22c apiece, while the buck shad were bringing 2c apiece."
