KeywordsCoho salmon = Oncorhynchus kisutch, Coquille River, Nehalem River, Siuslaw River, South Umpqua River
NotesWinter surveys of Nehalem, Siuslaw, Coquille and South Umpqua Rivers to assess habitat, describe differences between winter and summer habitat, locate possible future survey sites and evaluate utility of winter habitat surveys. Habitat is most limiting to coho survival in the winter, thus winter surveys are more useful. The model used predicted that the Nehalem and Siuslaw basins could support the highest density of juvenile coho, and the South Umpqua the least.
