| Notes | In this article, the authors attempt to reconstruct the invasion history of the introduced amphipod Gradidierella japonica. DNA analysis shows two distinct groups – one from San Francisco south, and the other north of San Francisco. There are significant genetic differences between the two groups, which, coupled with low genetic diversity within each group, suggests that there were two separate introductions of this species to the West Coast. |
